Understanding Thyroid Disorders

Thyroid disorders are not all the same. Identifying the type and underlying cause is the first step in effective treatment.

Hypothyroidism

Associated with phases of life — puberty, pregnancy, mental stress, metabolic stress (weight gain, fatty liver). The liver makes hormones; a sluggish liver disrupts thyroid signals from the pituitary gland, leading to low or deranged T3/T4.

Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

An autoimmune form linked to H. pylori infection and other bacteria that cause thyroid gland swelling (goiter), high TSH and elevated anti-TPO / anti-thyroglobulin antibodies. Overuse of iodised salt in populations that don't need it can paradoxically trigger this condition.

Hyperthyroidism

An overactive thyroid where TSH is lower than normal. Also seen in Hashimoto's and in people who never review or adjust their thyroxine dose. Regular hormone level monitoring and dose adjustment — under medical supervision — is essential and often missed.

Goitre

Swelling and inflammation of the thyroid gland, occurring when the gland cannot compensate for the hormonal disturbance. May be due to infection, autoimmune attack, iodine issues or metabolic stress.

Thyroid treatment with homeopathy

How Homeopathy Treats Thyroid Disorders

Thyroid issues can be completely resolved with homeopathy. Unlike conventional treatment, you are not required to take medicines for a lifetime — but you do need to invest 6 months to 2–3 years in the process.

People come to us with vague symptoms that often turn out to be thyroid-related:

  • Skin rashes, hives, acne on the chin
  • Hair loss or alopecia areata (bald patches)
  • Fatigue, puffiness of face or fingers
  • Muscle pain or swelling
  • Depression, anxiety
  • Difficulty getting pregnant
  • Eczema or dermatitis

Our treatment addresses the underlying cause — liver health, metabolic correction, infection (H. pylori), stress or autoimmunity — alongside the symptoms, with diet and appropriate supplements.

Conditions Closely Associated with Thyroid Disorders

Based on 19+ years of clinical experience, Dr. Rathore has observed these conditions frequently alongside thyroid issues:

Alopecia Areata (bald patches)
PCOS / PMOS
Poor weight or height gain in children
Acne on the chin area
Recurring sore throat and sinus infections
Pain in muscles and limbs

If you have been diagnosed with any of the above, it is worth investigating thyroid function alongside the presenting complaint.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can homeopathy replace my thyroxine / eltroxine tablets?

In many cases, yes — over time and under medical supervision. We do not advise abruptly stopping prescribed medication. The process involves treating the root cause with homeopathy while gradually tapering conventional medication, with regular hormone level checks.

How long does thyroid treatment take with homeopathy?

The investment is 6 months to 2–3 years, depending on the type of disorder (hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, hyperthyroid), its duration and severity. Chronic or long-standing cases take longer, but complete resolution is the goal.

My reports show high anti-TPO antibodies. Can homeopathy help?

Yes. Hashimoto's Thyroiditis — characterised by high anti-TPO and anti-thyroglobulin antibodies — responds well to homeopathic treatment, especially when the infectious trigger (such as H. pylori) is also addressed.

Is online consultation available for thyroid cases?

Yes. We offer online consultations worldwide. Medicines are couriered pan-India and internationally, or guidance is given to purchase locally where possible.
